Did you know that under normal circumstances the battery in the NLS digital player can be charged to full capacity by plugging the machine into an electrical outlet for approximately two hours? If the battery has been entirely depleted however, the machine must stay plugged in for at least six hours in order for the battery to fully charge.

Before contacting your talking book center, try plugging your machine in for about six hours to see if that helps.  If your machine will not take a charge, please contact your talking book center to request a replacement.
